March 15-19, 2010: "Road Trip 2010" Safe Spring Break/SGA Scavenger Hunt!

It's almost that time...SPRING BREAK! Whether you're headed to the beach, taking a road trip, or just catching up on some sleep, there are several things coming up next week which will provide a lot of FREE fun and prizes throughout the week. The week is marked as "Road Trip 2010" Safe Spring Break, an event which will feature all this and more: 
  • Monday, March 15, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. @ Union Station - Experience driving under the influence with the DUI Motion Simulator. Participants will also have the opportunity to race three giant tricycles on a race track while wearing impaired-vision goggles. Get free stuff for participating!
  • Tuesday, March 16, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. @ Union Station - Come by and play Root Beer Pong and Baggo! More free stuff!
  • Wednesday, March 17, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. @ UACCM Pavilion (Plaza if raining) - St. Patrick’s Day offers the “Get Lucky” Ducks event. Participants will select a rubber duck from the pool...each duck has a message about the connection of alcohol/drug use and risky behaviors. More free stuff!
  • Thursday, March 18, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. @ Sidewalk between Business Technology Center and Fine Arts Auditorium - The last day of events will include the Drunk and Dangerous/ Get Carded /Watch Your BAC activity event. While wearing vision-impaired goggles, participants will drive an obstacle course with remote-controlled cars. You can also play the Distract-a-Match game, where students will “get carded.” Hint: bring your UACCM ID.
Throughout the events, participants will have the opportunity to pledge to be safe, make responsible choices and watch out for their friends during spring break.
