It's Time to Stuff the Sleigh and Help Plan Some Events!

Happy Friday, UACCM. Here are a couple of things to think about over the weekend.

It's (almost) the official "season of giving," and to contribute to the giving spirit, UACCM's Student Government Association is participating in Little Rock Channel 11's "Stuff the Sleigh." This community service event aims to give every foster child in Arkansas a new toy for Christmas...that's over 5,000 kids! A few SGA students will be on Channel 11's Morning Show on Monday morning to talk about the event. If you want to see it, you'll have to get up early! The show runs from 5:00 to 7:00 (yes, that's a.m.)!

The event will begin Monday and will end on Friday, December 4. During the event, you can bring your new, unwrapped toys by the "Pod" which will be located on campus (exact location coming soon) or by the SGA Office in Union Station. The event will also include a "Deck the Pod" contest, and we'll have more on that soon, so keep your eyes peeled and let's help "Stuff the Sleigh!" 

Want to help plan campus special events? Stop by the fall planning meeting on Tuesday, November 17 at x-period in the SGA Office in Union Station. Anyone wanting to help plan the rest of the fall events and get started on the upcoming spring semester are welcome to attend.

Student Onboarding Due March 25

In preparation for Fall 2024 advising & registration, students should log into Workday and complete a series of tasks called Student Onboarding : Students should log in to Workday and complete these tasks:  Navigate to  myapps.microsoft.com  in a web browser.  Log in with your UACCM email and password when prompted. You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code.  A dashboard with multiple apps will display. Locate the blue app titled “Workday” and select it.  You are now logged into Workday!  Once logged in, you will do the Federal Student Aid Authorization and then complete My Tasks .  This will include such things editing your contact information (if necessary), editing your personal information (if necessary), adding My Friends and Family (emergency contact information), and other tasks. When entering your My Friends and Family information, you must select Emergency Contact as one of the relationship types or you will get an error message .

UACCM Eclipse Parking

  The following guidelines apply to any vehicles parked on the UACCM campus at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. FOR VISITORS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  Purchase an eclipse parking pass for $100 from the either of the tents located on University Boulevard  (🟧 on map). You are allowed to park anywhere in eclipse parking (blue on map). FOR STUDENTS VIEWING ECLIPSE:  You are allowed to park in eclipse parking (blue on map), free of charge. You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.  FOR STUDENTS CONDUCTING BUSINESS: You may park in the parking lot in front of the UC and BTC (pink on map). You must present a valid and current UACCM Student ID at either tent located on University Boulevard (🟧 on map). A UACCM campus parking pass is also required.

Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023, Zaybrau Williams, a little more. Why did you choose UACCM? I chose UACCM because of the community size and the various opportunities that are available to me.
