Help Heal the World...one Vitamin at a Time

The UACCM Arts Alliance Club is conducting a vitamin-drive on campus that will extend throughout the semester. The club urges everyone to consider donating a bottle of vitamin/mineral supplements, which will be donated to a group of area medical professionals who are planning to provide medical care and supplies to children in the Boca Costa de Solola area of Southwestern Guatemala. The UACCM Arts Alliance Club will also be involved in a Silent Art Auction and dinner in Conway to raise additional funds for this group of children who is desperately in need. Drop boxes will be available on both sides of campus in the Fine Arts Building, the Earl Love Child Study Center, and the Kirk Building (Nursing).

  The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) Practical Nursing program has posted a 100% pass rate on the most recent round of NCLEX board exams. The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) has been designated as a Carnegie Classifications Opportunity College & University (OCU) by the Carnegie Foundation and the American Council on Education for its leadership in prioritizing both student access and success. “UACCM is extremely proud to receive this recognition and grateful to both the Carnegie Foundation and the American Council on Education,” said UACCM Chancellor Lisa Willenberg. “This designation is indicative of UACCM’s never-ending commitment to providing students with high quality, relevant, and up-to-date education and training,” Willenberg said. Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association/Lorie Harris Tudor Endowment Scholarship Established at UACCM

  The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) has established the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association/Lorie Harris Tudor Endowment Scholarship.   The endowment is established by former Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) Director Lorie Tudor, along with the Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA), for non-credit workforce training programs, the first-ever endowed scholarship aimed at students in non-credit workforce programs.   “The Arkansas Asphalt Pavement Association/Lorie Harris Tudor Endowment Scholarship is the first of its kind at UACCM,” said UACCM Dean of Workforce Education and Training Dr. Jessica Allred.   “This is the first endowment earmarked for short-term training at UACCM and allows for additional support and opportunities for students,” Allred said.   Tudor presented a personal gift of $20,000, and the AAPA made a $5,000 contribution, making the endowment a total of $25,00...
