09-09-09 Class Cancellations, Career Pathways, and Volleyball!

Happy 09-09-09, everybody! Here is a look at who's out today:
  • Danna Crook (academic achievement instructor) is out, and her classes are cancelled.
  • Pat Bailey (speech instructor) is also out, and her classes are cancelled.
  • Shannah Cummings (music instructor) is out again today, and her classes are also cancelled.
  • Karen Caig (English instructor) is out today; classes cancelled.
  • Charlotte Sax (practical nursing) is out.
  • Janie Wagner (community outreach secretary) is out.
  • Leroy Gattin (librarian) is also out today.
Career Pathways Students: Don't forget about the CP orientation sessions for new students today at 9:00 am and tomorrow at 12:00 noon in the Career Pathways Computer Lab in the Kirk Building. If you have questions, call 977-2186.

Intramural Volleyball is coming up ASAP! Signup sheets are available now in Union Station (former library space) in the Kirk Building. If you've got a team together, you can sign up together, or you can sign up as a free agent and meet some new friends. Volleyball will be played September 21-30, so sign up today!

Congratulations to UACCM's September Student of the Month, Jasmine Novak! Jasmine is in her final semester of UACCM's Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education degree. After graduation, Jasmine plans to continue her education at UACCM and pursue an Associate of Science in Education degree. Jasmine's goal is to transfer to a four-year university to get a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  Jasmine is a first-generation college student and UACCM was the best fit for her because of tuition, proximity, and campus resources.  Jasmine says her favorite things about UACCM are the student and faculty interactions. Pay Tuition Bills and Review Account Balances Through Workday

UACCM is continuing to improve the student information system experience as we transition from Campus Connect to Workday Student. Students may now review Fall 2024 course fees and student account balances as well as pay tuition bills through Workday!  Workday allows students to easily see their current balance, as well as amounts coming due in the future, and payment history. UACCM Breaks Ground on Nursing and Science Center

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM) broke ground for the new $16 million Nursing and Science Center on Friday.  The two-story, 36,000 square-foot Nursing and Science Center will be located southwest of Technology Building II on the UACCM campus and will feature seven science labs and classrooms, ten nursing labs and classrooms, and two student lounges for studying.  In attendance for the groundbreaking was Arkansas Rep. Rick Beck, University of Arkansas System President Dr. Donald R. Bobbitt, Conway County Judge Jimmy Hart, Morrilton Mayor Allen Lipsmeyer, District Director for Rep.
