Orientation in Full Swing and a Note about Parking...

Good afternoon, everybody. "College Success" New Student Orientation is underway at UACCM, and it's a hot one! Almost 900 new UACCM students descended upon campus early this morning and are currently taking campus tours and learning all about what the college has to offer while enjoying some free food and drinks and sweating profusely! Orientation will be held tomorrow, too, followed quickly by the first day of fall classes on Wednesday. Check out the pic. at right to see the mob of students getting ready to kick off orientation this morning.

As you can imagine, the 2000-plus students that will attend UACCM this semester will most likely experience a few traffic and parking issues for the first couple of weeks of classes. One suggestion: leave yourself plenty of time to get to campus and get parked for the first few days. The entrance to campus from Poor Farm Road is currently closed, as is the gravel entrance off of University Boulevard, leaving only the main University Boulevard and Bruce Street entrances open at this time. The other entrances are currently being paved, so the madness will only be temporary! Anyway, allow yourself some extra time in the morning, and you should be fine.

We can't wait to see all the new faces on Wednesday!
