Please excuse our growth...
It’s no secret that UACCM has grown at an amazing pace over the past several years. In fact, college administrators have recently acknowledged the impressive growth by creating a new department on campus—Institutional Research. The new department will work cooperatively with campus faculty, staff, and students to conduct research, prepare reports, and complete surveys for internal and external constituents. The department will also conduct and present research intended to create continuous improvement of programs and customer service at UACCM and to fulfill the mission and overall strategic plan of the college.
The new department will be led by Wanda Hensley, who currently holds the position of registrar at UACCM, which she has held for the past 18 of her 30 years at the college. According to UACCM Vice Chancellor of Student Services Darren Jones, the new department will serve several purposes. “As our institution continues to experience growth and we prepare for our next Higher Learning Commission accreditation, the addition of this office will allow for great things in institutional, state, federal, and accreditation reporting data,” he said. The department will also make in-depth data more easily accessible to UACCM employees for purposes such as grant writing. Jones added, “Ms. Hensley’s intelligence, attention to detail, ability to work well with others, and commitment to making UACCM better has served UACCM well as registrar, and should continue to be a huge asset to the college as the new director of Institutional Research.” The college is currently searching for a replacement for Hensley at the registrar post.
Congratulations on your new position, Ms. Hensley!
