Fling Yourself into Spring

The grass is getting greener and gas prices are getting higher every day, so that can only mean one thing…it’s spring! At UACCM, spring equals Spring Fling! The annual event, sponsored by the Student Government Association, will be held this Wednesday, April 15 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Plaza Courtyard and Pavilion. Classes are NOT cancelled during the Fling, so plan on stopping by between classes to join in the fun.

Activities this year include:

  • Rock Climbing Wall
  • Wax Hands
  • Bull Riding
  • Velcro Wall
  • Giant Twister

CIS Club Puts you in Jail for Bail

The CIS Club will again be hosting a “jail” during this year’s Spring Fling. For the low, low price of one measly buck, you can put out a warrant on your enemies (and your friends)! Once a warrant has been issued, the offender will be tracked down by the club’s crack troops and incarcerated for not more than fifteen minutes in the CIS Club lockup located at the fling. Offenders also have the option of posting bail in the amount of $1.00 to avoid the clink. This is a great way to have fun (at someone else’s expense) and support a great cause. All proceeds will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation.

Get to know Miss UACCM 2023

  Earlier this month, Zaybrau Williams, from Dardanelle, was named Miss UACCM in the fifteenth annual Miss UACCM pageant.  Zaybrau was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the UACCM’s Chancellor’s Office, a floral bouquet courtesy of Plummer’s Flowers and Gifts, Morrilton, and gifts cards from Elia’s Mexican Grill, Morrilton, and Red Barn Market, Conway. Get to know Miss UACCM 2023, Zaybrau Williams, a little more. Why did you choose UACCM? I chose UACCM because of the community size and the various opportunities that are available to me. From being raised in a small community, UACCM felt like home. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming, it made choosing UACCM so easy. What are your educational and career goals? I am majoring in General Education. Once I finish with my associate degree here at UACCM, I plan to attend the University of Arkansas Medical School (UAMS) to further my education in Sonography. Student Onboarding Due March 25

In preparation for Fall 2024 advising & registration, students should log into Workday and complete a series of tasks called Student Onboarding : Students should log in to Workday and complete these tasks:  Navigate to  myapps.microsoft.com  in a web browser.  Log in with your UACCM email and password when prompted. You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code.  A dashboard with multiple apps will display. Locate the blue app titled “Workday” and select it.  You are now logged into Workday!  Once logged in, you will do the Federal Student Aid Authorization and then complete My Tasks .  This will include such things editing your contact information (if necessary), editing your personal information (if necessary), adding My Friends and Family (emergency contact information), and other tasks. When entering your My Friends and Family information, you must select Emergency Contact as one of the relationship types or you will get an error message .
