Jennifer Coney (nutrition) and Lyndsey Daniel (English) are both out sick today, so all of their classes are. Hopefully, they'll be back on Monday!

Also, Linda Jaramillo (humanities, social sciences, and mathematics) is also out today, as are Amber Anderson (health sciences and education secretary), and Clem Gruen (drafting - classes not cancelled).

UACCM Announces Spring Commencement Plans

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will host in-person commencement ceremonies at Morrilton High School’s Devil Dog Arena in May to celebrate its spring 2021 and all 2020 graduates. The spring commencement exercises will mark the first time UACCM has hosted in-person ceremonies since December 2019, as all 2020 ceremonies were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The in-person commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 15, at 10:00 a.m. The facility’s size enables the college to accommodate the graduates and their guests. Exact details about event protocols and public health precautions will be announced closer to the ceremony date. The commencement is a moment of celebration and reunion, as UACCM welcomes back graduates from the spring and fall 2020 semesters. A Note from the Chancellor: CARES Act Payments to Students

  Greetings UACCM Students: I hope you are off to a great start with your spring classes!   In case you find yourself like many others and could use some extra cash, you're in the right place! The second round of CARES Act Stimulus payments for students has been released and UACCM has been working to get these payments processed for you.  There are three levels of need-based payments available for every student currently enrolled as of today, March 1 st .  Each student will receive one of the three amounts below: Level One - Each High School Concurrent Student will receive a $100 stimulus payment Level Two - Non - Pell Eligible Students will receive a $550 stimulus payment Level Three - Pell Eligible Students will receive a $750 stimulus payment For those students that have previously signed up for direct deposits, these payments will be deposited into your bank account on file on either March 2 nd or 3 rd .  For everyone else, you will have a check availa

UACCM Student Development Office Tackles Test Anxiety

UACCM has a new resource to help students combat test anxiety: a pair of sessions from the staff of Student Development , that teaches students coping tips. On March 3-4, students can choose between two sessions, called How NOT to Fail: Test Anxiety Edition, with both lasting around 45 minutes. Interested students have the choice to either attend the sessions in person at the Student Development office, located at the Business Technology Center, Room 216, or virtually.
