Phi Beta Lambda Issues Food Drive Challenge

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is challenging the community to get involved! On Saturday, December 13, PBL members will be located outside two businesses in Morrilton collecting non-perishable items for Safe Place, the battered women and children’s shelter in Morrilton. PBL members will greet customers at the entrances of Big Star Morrilton Food and Drug and Kroger and will ask shoppers to purchase a few additional items to drop in a shopping cart as they exit the store.
Nearly everyone has an item or two in his or her kitchen cabinets that could be shared with those less fortunate, so please help PBL by donating filling the pantry at Safe Place. For more information on PBL or their efforts for community organizations, or to donate toward the cause, contact Linda Zambrano at 501-977-2061 or at Zambrano@uaccm.edu.
