PBL Students Attend Conferences

Seven UACCM students recently attended the Phi Beta Lambda Spring Leadership Conference in Hot Springs. 
They joined more than 350 college students from over 20 two-year and four-year colleges and universities who gathered to network, attend seminars, and participate in business-related competitions. Several UACCM students placed in their competitions. Students who placed include:
Samantha Bean – 1st place, Business Math
Denise Wells – 1st place, Machine Transcription; 2nd place, Word Processing
Marty McCoy – 5th place, Business Ethics & Etiquette
Ann Wilson – 5th place, Accounting for Professionals
Charlotte Noakes – 5th place,Marketing Concepts
The Word Processing competition of the conference is a national event. Denise Wells of Hector, who took second place in this competition, also attended the National Leadership Conference held recently in Chicago. 
Phi Beta Lambda is a national organization for college students who have an interest in business.  The main goal of the organization is to develop competent and aggressive business leaders.
