PBL Winners, Guitar Hero, and Students Get Recognized!

UACCM was represented at the State Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) Leadership Conference last Thursday through Saturday by six chapter members. Students competed with other two-year and many four-year colleges in competitive events relevant to business majors. UACCM placed in these events:
  • Largest Local Chapter Membership - 5th
  • Administrative Services - Tramayne Webster, 3rd; Charlie Passmore, 5th
  • Business English - Tramayne Webster 1st; Amanda Renard, 5th
  • Business Math - Charlie Passmore, 4th
  • Chapter Theme: MultiMedia - Charlie Passmore & Tanya Langston, 2nd (team)
  • Computerized Accounting - Charlie Passmore, 4th
  • Business Communication - Tramayne Webster, 4th
  • Word Processing - Amanda Renard, 2nd; Tramayne Webster, 5th
Congrats to all winners! Amanda Renard will compete in the national word processing event July 9-12 at the National Leadership Conference in Nashville.

Tomorrow marks the UACCM Otaku Club's Guitar Hero World Tour Tournament! The event will be held in Union Station from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Participants will compete head-to-head, and the winner (two of three) advances to the next round. The top three winners will compete for the win and will each receive prizes. Tuesday, April 27 will mark the annual Student Recognition Ceremony. During the ceremony, students will be recognized for outstanding academic achievement as nominated by their instructors.
